First of all, wasn't it supposed to be a 2-hour season premiere? I thought the recap was on Wednesday night and a 2 hours show was schedule for Thursday. Damn marketers, they got me good this time. So we learned that 6, the Oceanic 6, make it off the island in the end. At least that anyone knows about right? So far we are certain that Jack, Kate and Hurley made it off. I speculate that Sawyer also made it off because it was also on the list (see below). Its interesting that only 6 made it off. Makes you wonder what happened to the rest of them. Did they six escape from The Others and get lucky? Or was it the other way around and they ended up sacrificing themselves? There is some confusion now around whether or not they should have left the island. Jack, Kate and Hurley think they made the wrong decision. Keyword "decision". They said it a few times so that makes me think they had a choice. The car Hurley was driving during the getaway was the car his father had when Hurley was younger. The last time we saw the car it was rundown so at some point Hurley restored the Camaro and got it running again. So there seems to be a time gap in there. We probably won't have have an episode focusing on Hurley again until next season so who knows. I'm pretty sure that the island is owned by Steve Jobs. iPhone are starting to pop up now and they look like the new 16GB ones. If anyone is looking for gift ideas for me for Valentine's I'll take one. Thanks. I thought the first episode was a pretty decent kickoff for the season. Nothing super exciting but they offered us an equal dose of insight and confusion, as we've come to expect. It must have been good because Sarah stayed awake the entire time. Yay Lost blog! I, too, was disappointed by the "2 hour event" that was really a one hour event. The first hour did provide a pretty good re-cap of last season, though, and I think helped make last season seem more cohesive going into this new season. "We have to go back" will be this seasons "4 8 15 16 23 42." Just speculation. I mean, every show needs a tagline. But also, I think that the Oceanic 6 leave people behind on the island, as was indicated, posthumously, by Charlie. I'm really excited for this season though, because I was really worried they were going to use the "everyone is saved!" excuse to cancel the show. But it looks like they're going to treat it in classic LOST fashion, and that the island will still be a major factor in the season.
