After a long break for the show itself, and an extended hiatus for most other TV shows this winter, Lost is back starting tonight. Season 4 will kick of with a 2-hour season premiere started at 8pm EST (ABC, please send check for plug). Rumor has it that 8 episodes have been recorded and are ready to air. It's still up in the air at this point whether the strike will end soon enough to prevent a Lost drought but for now we'll take what we can get.

If you've never seen Lost and would like to start watching it this season here is a really good recap of the first 3 seasons that I found last night -- LOST in 8:15 (Official Recap S1-S3).

I left off back in May of last year with a good feeling about the show. The producers signed on for another three years and decided at that point the show would come to an end. I think its safe to say most Lost fans were relieved to hear this news. I love the show but the storyline has gotten fairly convoluted over the years and its time they start answering some big questions and wrap that puppy up so I can get back to my Cosby reruns.

In last season's final episode we were left with several scenes that appeared to be from the future. Plenty of people out there watched the show repeatedly to try to figure out if it was in the past or present and lots of interesting things were found. Here is a brief recap of some of the findings.

Flash forward:
- Jack had a KRZR phone which was released at the end of 2006
- Jack suffers from a drug addiction and alcoholism which had never been mentioned in previous flash backs or on the island
- Reference during discussion with Kate in the parking lot to time on the island and also a Golden Pass for unlimited flights

Flash back:
- Jack's dad was still working at the hospital. He died in Sydney and Jack was coming back from there when the flight crashed
- Wouldn't Kate be in jail if it was future time?

I can't wait for the season premiere tonight. Jason and Sarah are coming over as usual to get things started off right. And I do have a few predictions for this season.

- Sarah is going to fall asleep halfway through the show each week
- Dylan will want to watch the first 3 seasons because she didn't exist then
- Niki will spend too much time analyzing the show and explode
- Charlie will still be alive

Hey, Dylan existed in season 3, it actually picked back up the week before she was born. Don't you remember having to pause the TV multiple times when watching it because that was when she ate every 2 hours and did not go to sleep until 1am? I also had to end up watching the rest of the show by myself because you and Jason continued watching it while Sarah slept on the couch. Good times!

I predict that Kate has a child but it may not be Jack's (from a relationship off of the island) and not Sawyer's.

I'll be watching tonght too! So far I've never missed an episode! I had no life before and still no life after the baby. Great to know I'll have some people to chat with about it. Any idea who is in the coffin? My guess is Ben or Locke.

I am glad to see I am not the only one who went to bed last night needing to sort everything out....What did Hurley mean in his conversation with Jack in the "nuthouse" gym? Why does he keep seeing Charley? Are Sawyer, Locke, and the rest still on the island? Who's the black guy that showed up to visit with Hurley? My head is gonna explode if I don't get the answers soon!! And if Traci doesn't stop calling me in the middle of the show to ask what is going on.......she better be glad I have DVR!!! Sorry to go on and on and on, but the only person I have to share with is Traci and Mom....and they seem more confused than me! hahahahaha I will checking back in on your thoughts....so hurry and get something up!!

Ok, I just watched the 8:15 Lost recap to "get in touch" with my children. I got very "lost" but I think I like Hurley the best, hey what can I say, I am getting used to having food prepared and brought in, and to enjoy the life of a lazy sloth, also at the end/beginning when Boobwatch gets involved, maybe I can even get Dad hooked. Strange program but maybe it will be mind stimulating and promote good conversation between my sons and I. What was for dinner on Thursday night? Sarah, don't feel bad, I always fall asleep watching TV. My family loves it when they have to recap at the end when I am wide awake and they are half asleep! Love not LOST, Mom
